Happy heavenly birthday to David Bowie ā the patron saint of beautiful chaos. ā”ļø
My pick is "Warszawa" .
Itās not the hit everyone knows, but itās the spell that changed everything. Bowie invented a language for this track because standard words weren't enough to describe the feeling of spiritual desolation he found in Cold War Poland. Itās haunting, wordless, and accidentally birthed the entire Post-Punk genre (Joy Division formed because of this song).
A masterclass in atmosphere over ego.
