It took me a lot of heartbreak to realize I had been looking at love all wrong.. For years, I thought love meant finding my person. The romance. The passion. The soulmate. The forever. And every time that kind of love fell apart, I fell apart with it. I would lie awake asking what was wrong with me. Why wasn’t I enough? Why did everyone else seem to find what I wanted so badly? But while I was staring at another broken love story, I was missing something beautiful.. I was already surrounded by love. It was in the friend who answered the phone when I couldn’t stop crying. The person who sat beside me without trying to fix anything. The family who loved me through every version of myself. The little arms wrapped around my neck. The kindness of someone who expected nothing in return. Love had been showing up everywhere.. I just kept overlooking it because it didn’t look the way I thought it should. That changed me. I stopped calling every failed relationship a mistake. Some were lessons. Some showed me what I would never accept again. Some taught me that being rejected doesn’t mean there was something wrong with me.. Sometimes two people are simply wrong for each other. And thank goodness for that. I’ve been disappointed. Lied to. Taken for granted. I’ve trusted people who didn’t deserve the best parts of me. But I don’t regret loving. Every experience taught me something about my heart, my boundaries and the person I wanted to become. And through all of it, something never changed.. I still love deeply. I still believe in people. I still give my heart when it feels right. Maybe that means I’ll get hurt again someday. I can live with that. Because I would rather have a heart capable of loving fully than become someone afraid to feel. Now I understand.. Love was never absent from my life. It was there the entire time. In friendships. Family. Laughter. Kindness. Connection. And yes.. sometimes romance too. I just had to stop mourning the love that left long enough to appreciate all the love that stayed. So I’ll keep loving. Keep learning. Keep growing. Because there is nothing more beautiful than loving and being loved.. In whatever form it finds me. #LoveDeeply #LifeLessons #HealingHeart #RealLove
You don’t fix a broken heart— you feel it, you honor it, and you let it teach you. Healing isn’t about forgetting— it’s about becoming someone who can love again without breaking the same way. 🌙 #HealingHeart
