Apparently, today is International Strange Music Day , so naturally, I decided to write a little conversation about it. 😂🎶
Bob: Today, we celebrate strange music! 🎵
Denver: Wonderful! What exactly is strange music?
Bob: Easy. It’s when you hear a song and ask, “Is that a guitar, or a washing machine?” 🤔😂
Denver: Ah, I know that kind! I once listened to a song that sounded like three ducks arguing with a vacuum cleaner. 🦆🦆🦆🌀
Bob: Exactly! And somehow, there’s always someone dancing to it. 💃😂
Denver: That someone would be you.
Bob: Excuse me! I was not dancing.
Denver: You were dancing with a spoon in your hand.
Bob: It was a microphone! 🎤😂😂
So today, my fabulous friends, be brave! Listen to something unusual, sing like nobody can hear you, dance like the furniture isn’t judging you, and remember.

I chose “Mohabbat” because its sound is very different from the music I normally listen to.
🌙 The slow, atmospheric music gives the song a mysterious and peaceful feeling.
🇵🇰 I like how Arooj Aftab brings a South Asian identity into a modern and experimental style.
🎤 Her soft and expressive voice makes the song feel emotional without being overly dramatic.
💭 While listening, I felt calm and completely drawn into the mood of the music.

I selected “Wolf Totem” by The HU because its sound is very different from the music I normally listen to.
The song comes from Mongolia and combines traditional Mongolian musical elements with modern rock music.
What surprised me most was the powerful throat-singing style, which gives the song a deep and unusual sound.
The instruments and strong rhythm made me feel connected to a culture and musical tradition that I had not explored before.
I enjoyed discovering something so different, and I would definitely listen to this song again.
