Hi everyone,
I recently finished a **UI/UX design course** and also have some knowledge of **web design and Webflow**. I’ve built a portfolio with a few exercises and redesigns of existing websites/apps, but I don’t have any real work experience yet.
For more than a year I’ve been trying to find an **internship, entry-level role, or junior position**, but most companies seem to ask for prior experience. It feels like a catch-22: I need experience to get a job, but I need a job to gain experience.
So my questions are:
* Has anyone here managed to break into the industry as a total beginner?
* What strategies helped you land your first client or your first design job?
* Is it realistic to expect a paid internship/junior role without experience, or should I start with freelance/volunteering projects just to build references?
Any advice, links, or shared experiences would mean a lot. 🙏
