What uniform do you wear?

So many people go through life switching “uniforms” depending on the situation—trying to appear confident, smart, successful, or even happy. These roles, like the costumes in the story, are often driven by a need for approval, acceptance, or security. But there’s a moment of truth that hits when we take off these masks. That brief discomfort—the fear of not knowing who we are without them—is actually a sign that we’ve become disconnected from our True Self.

Your True Self is not the version of you shaped by expectations or past experiences. It’s the part of you that’s deeply rooted in compassion, empathy, gratitude, and forgiveness. It honors your core values while maintaining healthy boundaries—protecting your mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. It isn’t swayed by applause or criticism. It simply is.

In a previous conversation, I shared how there was a time in my life when I had lost everything I thought defined me—a career, my health, and even my sense of purpose. I was drowning in the roles I thought I had to play. But those years of darkness were the shedding of my uniforms. It wasn’t until I sat in the stillness of “not knowing who I was” that I discovered the power of presence—and who I really was beneath the roles.

That discovery was the beginning of living from my True Self. It didn’t require a title or a mask—just the courage to let go. When we stop performing and start aligning with our True Self, life becomes simpler, more peaceful, and deeply fulfilling. We no longer need costumes to be seen—we become seen because we are finally being real.

If this reached you or there was something that truly resonated with you, please like and share in hopes this will maybe reach someone that it could help.
