Rey triggers the wrong fuses aboard Han's ship, releasing the Hentai Horrors to enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet. This should-have-been-fatal F***-Up works entirely in her favor.
Quote; "That was lucky!"
Then, as we watch the run-through-the-ship parts, the hungry-hungry-Hentai-Horrors have more than a few chances to snag her with tentacles as a nice light snack...yet never even try. Nope, they grab Finn...who gets saved by...
...MaRey-Sue Palpatine.
...and Rey was given a Lightsaber.
TYRANT STAR;
In the ancestral tomb complex, down deep-deep in the darkest regions, Selikana stops her male classmate from doing something reflexively and properly-appropriate (in most other circumstances) that would get them both swiftly outnumbered, over-run and killed.
Because she recalled information from an essay she had to do for a class,
1; She had chosen the creatures they were facing as her essay subject owing to considerable experience from frequent encounters with them when she was much younger,
2; She had researched them from a mix of longstanding Curiosity (using the Library to learn what she didn't already know about them).
3; A chance to use the advantage of lived-Experience to do a top-level job and thus bolster her grade...knowing some small details the Library materials didn't have recorded. ...whilst also saving some effort as she did have the mentioned lived-experience which saved some time in researching allowing for more focus on polishing the essay to her best-ability.
Selikana pursued the Graduation Trial. Alone , due to scheduling --> Go now, and entirely alone, or wait almost a year for the next candidate to be ready.
Survived it.
Then spent considerable time crafting her Signature blades before submitting them for Approval.

STAR TREK across the decades.
What really twists a knife in me is we went from a Confident, mature, commanding yet very Human Captain and a really tough starship that could take it as well as dish it out...
...to the Enterprise basically becoming merely a figurehead in the wrong places at the wrong times.
...and then to some immature daddy-issue bad boy's ride that did nothing in three films but get used for target practice and then killed like a farm animal being slaughtered.
That one line of Krall's in ST; Beyond; "Cut it's throat." referring to attacking the connector between primary hull and engineering hull.
That line...said it all.
It's because of how modern entertainment has destroyed, corrupted, ruined and devastated all that we loved and cherished that I am steadily building NEW universes for people of our world to seek Escapism within.
Universes that will NEVER be sold to the Disneys, Paramounts, Netflixes or Blackrocks.
How can I say that?
NO amount of money makes it 'better' when you've stabbed the man in the mirror you face every day, in his back.
I have to live with myself...selling-out, I don't like money that much, and do not seek to be 'wealthy'.
I want to be comfortable and be able to support my charities as best I am able to.
That's it, that's all...and also know that people are finding some enjoyment and escapism in my works so they can recharge, 'vacation' a little bit mentally and emotionally.
Yes, I'm a pretty simple creature.
Great wealth is 'Wrong' for me, I cannot think on that level, and I've seen how it traps and...'mutates' people.
I'd rather be poor, honest and Myself, than rich, trapped in lies and false appearances while becoming Someone Else that I'd probably hate.
