I get in trouble for speaking Russian as a Ukrainian, what should I do?
For context I’m half Russian and half Ukrainian, and I speak Russian mainly, that’s just how I grew up. My Ukranian dad even speaks majority Russian bc that’s just what we all speak at home. I know Ukranian for the most part, and understand it but just can’t fully speak it yet, I would love to and try sometimes.
Anyways I’m here helping my friend out who’s Ukrainian btw and we’re going to these people to help them move and he tells me don’t speak Russian bc you might offend them and he didn’t want that to affect the job. That just really upset me bc I come to help for free btw, have good intentions, etc. and what ended up happening is I just speak English and my friend translated it to Ukrainian, which just made me very sad. They could totally understand Russian and I could understand Ukrainian, but no we have to follow some stupid social rule bc speaking Russian is deemed evil.
I’ve had multiple situations like this and it pisses me off, bc you speak Russian that means your some evil person, and if you try to speak Ukranian you’ll be made fun of bc it’s not perfect and they “can tell your not Ukrainian”
What should I do regarding these situations when I get into them? I obviously am pro Ukraine, I am Ukrainian myself just as much as I am Russian. I’ve even been to Ukraine before but have never been to Russia. This is just not fair to me.

Drone Donation
Hi, I don't think this post breaks any rules and if there's a better place to ask, please let me know. I have a DJi Mini 2 drone that I would like to give to those fighting in Ukraine. I haven't found any groups in the vetted charities list that specify drone donation. Is there a way to get this drone to someone in Ukraine to put it to good use?

Tomorrow it will be a year ago since Operation SpiderWeb took place. . Ukraine hit 5 airbases and took out 13 military planes.
The operation targeted 5 airbases

And took out 12-13 planes.

* 7-8x **Tu-95** (Bear) strategic bombers (Olenya & Belaya)
* 4x **Tu-22M** (Backfire) bombers (Belaya)
And targeted:
* 2x **A-50** airborne early warning and control aircraft (Ivanovo Severny)

That day was carefully chosen.
1st of June:
* Military Transport Day in Russia aviation since 1931
* Children's day in Ukraine \*
* The day that Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons to Russia in 1996
^(\* Ukraine moved Children's day on 30.05.2025, just 2 days before SpiderWeb took place. It is now on November 20th instead of June 1st.)
It took 18 months between the start of planning and executing the mission.
