A cool observation/theory about Doctor Strange
In the beginning of the movie, while Stephen is performing a surgery, his colleague plays a song, Stephen correctly guesses the name and the autor of the song but he says the song is from 1977, his colleague says he's wrong, the music is from 1978.
Doctor Strange still believe he's right, but Wikipedia says the song is from 1978, although Strange asks his colleague to check again and, guess what? He's right, the song is from 1978.
I know this seems like a silly detail, but I kept this in my mind until that moment in the movie when Doctor Strange is using Agamotto's eye magic to read the book.
When the Ancient and Mordo found him, they were surprised by the way Strange could easily manipulate that magic without training, so they concluded that he definitely had some kind of propensity to magic.
At first, Stephen rejects the idea as he always had facility to do things with him fotographic memory and that kind of stuff, but the plot reveals that he actually has some natural habilities to be able to defeat the evil.
Well, once I haven't watched the sequel movies, I know maybe it can be revealed that he has some sort of predestination because I really believe in this, even as a headcanon.
This makes me think: what if he already had unconscious manifestations of this power? The Ancient depicts in the movie that magic can't be controlled, you have to feel it and flow in it like a current, so I think unconscious manifestations of power are pretty reasonable if you have some magic in you.
Then, would it be possible that Stephen had manipulated time and space before he even met the Ancient?
Maybe, could part of his sucess at work and his foolproof memory come from his powers actually doing little changes in time and space in his favour? I really don't know, but I like to think that happened in that one introduction scene of the movie.
