My photo was taken a decade ago, this is my childhood friend. Mai-mai is her nickname. This photo was taken at Bonifacio high Taguig Jollibee 5th birthday of my niece. It so happened I was at vacation to my cousin at Taguig. And my cousin also invited her. She's already our family friend.
This was my story why I became friends with her. I was at my Grade 6 when my cousin's friend brought her to our house. I'm really a shy girl back then. I was playing Super Mario at that time. But I ignore her I didn't even invited her to play but she gave me an apple. Still I'm so quiet even saying thank you I didn't.
Until I invited her to play Super Mario game from the family computer but she hesitated from the invitations. Until one day I was surprised she's already staying with us, her aunt whom the friend of my cousin took her. And they live to my grandma's house. We were an extended family there. We grew together but she's more loud I'm quiet and demure but she's laughing out loud when outside. My cousin brought her to school in highschool and also a private school from San Agustin. And she's being love as our own family. It's like she's also my younger sister. But she's always been the first one to noticed anywhere we go, she's really a pretty girl her mom is French. We have a great time together as teenagers. We did some stupid things like others from the teenage years. Her friends were popular from their school but my friends aren't. My school is more conservative than hers. Sometimes I got jealous because she has more attention from my cousin than I am. But still I love her.
Many things happened when growing up we quarrelled a lot because she's my opposite. But we had a great time together. Currently she also stays here at Iloilo but we haven't saw each other a lot, she has family and childrens. And she's a part of my life, stays always in my heart.
From that photo we had our face painting and birthday hats.
Whatever it is I always count her as my best friend for life. But those were only memories.
