These are lightly brushed aluminum drawer pulls. I want to do a final pass with 3M pads then immediately seal to protect against oxidation. I don't have the cash for fancy coatings like anodizing or ceramic, so looking for something good enough. My options seem to be: Metal Polish. My understanding is most of these rely on a thin oil being left on the surface and I'm concerned about residue constantly transferring to my hands. Furniture Wax. I have some Trewax which is similar to old Johnson's. Again I fear a waxy residue transferring to my hands, but should be less than oil infused polish. Clear acrylic/poly/enamel. With this option I fear future chipping, but since the surface is lightly brushed I think I'll get decent adhesion. What do the experts think? #industry source
