After one of the worst storms we've had in a long time, today finally brings a bit of relief. The wind has eased, the rain subsided and across the city mopping, cleaning and recovery operations are now underway. From flooded roads to damaged homes, uprooted trees, overturned cars and trucks, damaged infrastructure, many people felt the full force of the storm. Today, there's at least a moment to breath, regroup and begin putting things back together.
Our thoughts are especially with the families who have lost loved ones, and with everyone who has been injured or displaced during the storm. Wishing strength, comfort and safety to all those affected.
A special thanks to Gift of the Givers and all community workers, emergency teams, volunteers and residents working tirelessly to help those in need during this difficult time. your kindness and support do not go unnoticed.🙏
Praying for every one that is trying to stand and rebuild what has been devastated, may they find courage and strength in each other to help and start over again.
Oh my God! This is so brutal!! 😱💔 In today's world, this can happen anywhere. 🥲 My sincere condolences to the deceased, those who were left homeless, and those who suffered any damage. 🙏 Are you safe, Philida?
What a disaster... 😱💔 After such a fierce storm, it's a huge relief to finally see the winds calm and the rain ease ...I’m so glad you made it home safe.❤️ 🙏
Oh, when did this happen? May Allah shower His mercy and blessings upon everyone, Ameen. Are you okay? Did something like this happen on your side as well?
I felt very sad to hear this. For the whole past week, I have been very busy because my uncle is in the hospital and is very ill. I have been occupied with going to and from the hospital every day.
