Any love for digital watches?

I hear digital watches have no souls, which I assume means they don’t go to heaven? Kinda sad.

But I still like them, so here are mine. How does that make you feel?

**Citizen Aqualand**

Debatable whether this even belongs in the digital lineup, and I’ve had a complicated relationship with it. It looks freaking awesome, but 24mm lug width mean strap options are few and mostly terrible. I’ve sold this watch twice because of it. Third time’s the charm, though. I finally found a strap I’m happy with, so it’s sticking around. For now.

**Hamilton PSR (Pulsar)**

Possibly the least amount of watch you can get for the money? Still, the quality feels appropriate for the price, and this green one is extra cool in my book. It’s basically a tiny useless Pip-Boy. Fun fact: the original was also offered with a green display, but the less-efficient LEDs required a larger battery and, I believe, a thicker case. Also not talked about enough: unlike all(?) other LED watches, the PSR uses an LCD to display the time constantly. You only need to hit the button when the lighting makes the LCD hard to read, at which point the LEDs take over. Pretty clever.

**Seiko Rotocall**

Another overpriced Seiko?! No way. About a year after release, these are finally coming down to a more reasonable price, and I think another year could put them in a really good spot. And hey, Seiko actually did a few things here that I wish they’d do more often: sub-40mm case, female end links, and a bracelet with some freaking taper. Oh yeah, and the light is good too.

**Casio F91W**

Everyone talks about buying a Rolex when they have a kid. I bought an F91W. Since I was waking up several times a night for feedings, I wanted something I could wear to bed and check at 3 a.m. I don’t normally sleep in a watch, so it had to be light and unobtrusive, and it doesn’t get much more so than the F91W. Plus, technically, it has a light. Technically.

**Casio CA53W**

Not much to say here. The coolest watch in my collection. Give it a proper light and bump up the water resistance, and this might be all the watch anyone ever needs.
