The Implications of Matt moving forward

This will get into theory territory pretty quickly, only because I haven’t heard many people discuss the possibilities here.

I had a really good time watching this new season of Born Again; a BIG step up from season 1. The fact that we’re leaning into what seems like the Devil in Cell Block D is really cool, and the Matt reveal was definitely warranted when looking at his arc this season.

The ending of him getting locked up is definitely ambitious, since Matt/Daredevil essentially has a new status quo. Even if he gets out of prison (all signs point to of course) the public now knows that he’s Daredevil. His career as a lawyer is affected, his public image overall will be affected, he could become an even bigger target, the dynamic is forever changed here.

It’s great we get to have a narrative challenge like this for Matt, but what I’m curious about is how long would this last? Hell, in the comics, the public ends up getting their memory wiped that Matt is Daredevil. Will we be in need of another Doctor Strange situation at some point?

I’m curious to see if we get time with this dynamic or if they’ll use something like Secret Wars to reset this plotline quickly (depending on when season 3 comes out). Very much thinking ahead but could this be a permanent fixture of MCU Daredevil now that it’s in play?
