What would you use from this emergency fishing kit for small lakes? What about ice fishing?
Got issued this little military emergency fishing kit and I’m curious what people who actually fish regularly would choose from it.
If you were stuck with only what’s pictured and fishing a typical small Canadian lake, what would you rig up first? Which hooks, spoons, leaders, etc. would you actually bother with, and what species do you think this kit is best suited for?
Also curious about ice fishing. Is there anything here that would work reasonably well jigged through the ice? What would you use for bait if you had nothing else with you?
And if you could add one small item without making the kit any bigger, what would you add? Is there anything already in it you'd ditch to make room?
