I want to build a desk out of 30mm (1 1/4") rectangular tubing. Do you recommend 16 or 14 gauge? It needs to support the weight of my computer tower, which is quite heavy, plus a large monitor and other components. In my city, it's a bit difficult to find 14 gauge tubing, but I think 16 gauge might be a little too thin. However, I don't know much about this; I'm new to it.
The desk measures 140cm x 80cm. The tabletop is only attached by the edge brackets.
