A boy comes to visit his widowed grandfather on a weekend home from college. Grandpa lives alone with a dog.
He sits down to dinner with grandpa and notices that his plate doesn’t look very clean.
“Grandpa”, he asks, “did you wash this dish?”
“It’s as clean as cold water will get it,” is the response.
The next morning, he notices that his plate has the same
stains as the night before, and a bit more.
“Hey, Grandpa”, he asks, “did you wash this dish?”
“It’s as clean as cold water will get it,” grandpa says again.
Later the boy is trying to leave and the dog is blocking the door, growling.
“Grandpa”, he pleads, “call your dog ”
“Cold Water, heel!”
