The Mummy vs The Mummy Returns
The mummy returns is currently available on YouTube. Funnily enough I just watched the Mummy not too long ago. I enjoyed both movies, but I can’t help but notice the tonal change in the sequel. The horror elements were less prominent, and it became more of an action-adventure thriller. Is it because there’s a kid in the story now so they had to tone it down? I think the first movie was the better one.
They were also a few things that didn’t make sense. Like how is Evie Nefertiri reincarnation? And why didn’t Imhotep or Anck su namun recognize her as Nefertiri in the first movie? Imhotep even mistook her for Anck Su Namun. I felt like that was too forced. Also how is Anck Su Namun reincarnated if her soul is still in the underworld?
Both movies were pretty good and superior to the third one. Can’t wait for the upcoming fourth.
