I ’m looking to bend 22 gauge stainless steel for a project. A lot of advice I’ve seen online says to avoid bending stainless because of strain hardening or risk of crack the metal but it’s always referring to a thicker plate than 22.
The overall size of the finished product will be about 10cm x 10cm x 1.5 cm and will have 90 degree bends and 180 degree open hems.
How feasible is it to bend 22 gauge in a metal brake whether commercial or homemade? #industry
