😔 #UnseenScar Confessions

#earn activity

One thing that really stayed with me from childhood was learning too early that I had to be “strong.” As a boy, I felt like crying or showing fear just wasn’t okay. So whenever something hurt me emotionally, I stayed quiet. I told myself to deal with it alone. I thought being strong meant not needing anyone.

I became the person everyone could talk to. I would listen, support, and understand others… but I almost never talked about my own pain. I didn’t even realize I was building walls around my heart. I thought I was just growing up.

There were moments I wanted someone to notice I wasn’t okay. I wanted comfort. But instead of speaking, I chose silence. I kept telling myself, “It’s not a big deal. Others have it worse.” So I carried everything inside.

Even now, that unseen scar shows up. Sometimes I smile and say I’m fine when I’m not. It’s still hard for me to ask for help. A small part of me still believes I have to handle everything on my own. And honestly, it still hurts sometimes — because I know that little boy deserved softness too.

But I’m learning. I’m learning that real strength isn’t about hiding your feelings. It’s about being honest. It’s about saying, “I’m not okay,” and trusting someone with that truth.

Healing, for me, means allowing myself to be vulnerable. And every time I open up just a little more, that invisible scar feels lighter. 🩹✨

Each time you allow yourself to be honest about your emotions, you’re not only lightening that unseen scar but also modeling what it means to be truly strong for others around you.

This is really painful but it’s good that you’re moving on .
