#SilverCountry #earn

I went through my late dad’s coin tin, but coins from our country (South Africa) don’t contain silver, so the only coin I could submit is this 1952 U.S. dime. It was part of his collection.

Coin: 1952 U.S. Roosevelt Dime
Alloy: .900 (90% silver, 10% copper)
Country / Origin: United States of America

Well, i think there was early versions of the rand that contained it but they must be harder to get now. How nice of you to keep the collection? Many people would maybe sell it but it's such a good artifact of history!

Interesting....You're right the rand from 1965-1976 contained silver, thereafter it was discontinued and replaced by nickel in 1977 of which I have one. I have a variety of coin denominations but none consist of silver. After my dad passed away, nobody was interested so I kept it. I completely forgot about it until your activity👍
