Joan of Arc Movie Miniseries (1999) - Secular Legend Combined With Religion
Well... it has it's own merits. I found the trial scenes entertaining but other parts are a little lacking. Anyway the start and end part are very secular. Prophesy by Merlin in the beginning, at the ending, "Jean de Metz (Jean de Novelonpont) never married". Like come on, implying they would be an item when in real life he was old enough to be her father. It even has a love story angle, like really???
But of course for the sake of the movie... they just had to make it so. That's #entertainment for ya. Overall I rate the movie a 6 out of 10 stars. Not bad but not too good either.
