How do you stop letting a partner’s negativity affect your game?
This has been a long-standing struggle for me, and pickleball has made it especially clear. When a partner shows frustration after my mistakes (sighing, head shaking, negative body language), I get stuck in my head. Instead of focusing on the next point, I worry about letting them down, and my game falls apart. This pattern shows up in other areas of my life too. For those who’ve dealt with this, what helped you overcome it? I’m not looking for “just don’t care,” but practical strategies to stay mentally focused, especially in competitive games with difficult partners. #sport source
