#HeartOverReceipts g/confessions g/studio 1. Yes, I once…

#HeartOverReceipts

1. Yes, I once gave something emotionally valuable - my time, effort and genuine care. It felt important because it came from a place of sincerity, not obligation.

2. No. Once I gave something with real intention, I don't expect it back. What would stop me is the meaning behind it - it was given freely, not as something to reclaim.

3. I see gifts as an expression of love, not an investment. When I give, I mean " yours to keep", regardless of how things end.

4. Maybe only if there was betrayal or disrespect - something that completely breaks the value of what was given. Even then, it's more about closure than the item itself.

5. It depends on the situation. Sometimes it's understandable, especially if there's pain or unfairness. But for me, once given with pure intent, taking it back feels like undoing the meaning of that moment.

6. I'd probably feel a mix of hurt and understanding. Hurt because the meaning changed, but understanding because people react differently to endings. Letting it go would depend on how it was asked - respect makes it easier.
