Okay, this is going to sound very stupid, but if you had to get into a fight where your only weapon of choice is a marvel character who has been given the physics of an inanimate object good at hitting things with, like a metal chair or a baseball bat (they are holding a fixed standing pose with all the strength they possess normally, so core strength + muscle strength in general is important). The only factor we are changing is how you are able to handle the weight. Let’s assume it’s a nonissue here. Otherwise pretty much everyone but Rocket is unusable to most people.
However, they keep all existing traits.
\- Characters that can be proven to be probably alive only. So no buildings or vehicles or entire planets. (Let‘a try and keep this smaller than a planet scale, yeah? Also the balance on Jupiter or something would be a nightmare because a) you can’t really touch it and b) it’s massive and round.)
\- For example, height would translate to reach. So if they’re tall you can get someone from further away, but you will have to cope with more air resistance and if they’re short, you’re gonna have to get very close.
\- Balance is still an issue. If the character happens to be very top or very arm heavy, you are going to have to adjust your strategy to account from this and avoid overextending yourself so you don’t drop them or have them tilt weirdly or something. (eg, Thanos with the gauntlet is gonna be heavier on the gauntlet arm).
\- Durability is decided by common sense here. You don’t wanna injure them too much. So regular humans are gonna start not doing very well in this compared to something like as guardians or those with a healing factor. Age is factored in here too based on whether or not they’d be frail at that age for their species type.
\- Damage, we’re gonna say is the same. If they’re built like a sledgehammer, they probably do decent blunt damage if you use them like one. If they have something pointy on them that’s gonna do piercing / stabbing damage.
\- No magic / powers unless you think smacking said character into another character would make them appear.
\- Let’s assume the character gets selective amnesia once you’re done, so you don’t have to deal with their (probable) wrath.
Okay, if you’ve sat through that with the same expression on your face I think you have, then, great!
So I think some of the best weapons could be:
\- The Chitauri Mothership. Self-explanatory, that thing is massive and could one-shot quite a lot of characters. I mean, it’d take you an age to swing to get over air resistance, and is a lot less intuitive than other choices, but once you did, game over for your opponent.
\- Hela - very pointy headdress. Imagine stabbing and twisting with all that? She would make an excellent spear. + Asgardian durability.
\- The Thing. Very rocky skin. Abrasive damage + if you get decent speed, you’re sending someone flying.
Some very bad weapons
\- Ned. Again, this is a high-school age human. I don’t think it’s a great idea to be betting on him vs gods and stuff.
\- Tony Stark without the suit. A guy with heart problems. I don’t think so.
\- Alexander Pierce. That is an old man, even an evil one. He is breaking an arm immediately. As much joy as I’m sure many people would get out of that, this is just a terrible choice.
Anyway, my personal pick is headdress Loki. I’m not sure if the horns on his helmet are sharp or not, but I think they’d be very pokey and unpleasant. Decent reach also. And he’s not wearing terrible footwear like some on this list, like covered in spikes or something, so I think I could get a decent grip on his bootie things. Asgardian durability also.
Get the gist? Great!
