Cheap Foam Sleeping Pad Recommendation
Right now I’m collecting gear for my first hiking/backpacking trip in the Alps/Central Europe with my dog.
My current setup:
\* Durston X-Mid 2
\* Exped MegaMat Ultra (30 inch width version)
On the Durston website, the X-Mid 2 inner width is listed as 52 inches. Based on that, I’m planning to place the Exped MegaMat (30-inch width) against one side wall, and use a cheap foam pad on the entrance side.
The foam pad would mainly be for:
\* protecting the tent floor from my dog’s paws in case if she wants to get out from her sleeping bag at night, and giving her a comfortable ground
\* creating a sitting area near the entrance
R-value is not important for the foam, since my dog already has her own sleeping bag, and her fur provides decent insulation anyway. So I’m mainly looking for a lightweight and inexpensive foam solution.
so far I find therm-a-rest zlite sol. but I'm open to another recommendations.
