Neighborhood Market selling round and calling it sirloin?
Hey guys,
Yesterday, I got a 1.5 pounds of steak from Walmart Neighborhood Market. It was labeled "Sirloin", and I've gotten it there before. Cooked it last night in a beef & broccoli recipie that I've also used before, but this time the meat came out tough. I mean way tougher than ever before - and I didn't change anything in the recipe. I believe that the meat department at the store is selling cuts of round, and pricing it as sirloin.
My question is: Is there a way to visually tell the difference between round and sirloin? \-Anyone here successfully fought the butcher?
I know I should just change grocery stores, but the next closest to me is a Winn-Dixie (even worse meat!), and then a Publix - 10 miles away.
