I think we should be grateful that Marvel didn’t have movie rights
I think it is clear that it was a blessing that Marvel Studios did not have movie rights for their most popular characters, namely Spider-Man, X-Men, and F4. Because this forced them to develop their neglected heroes outside of comics.
If Marvel had the movie rights to all their characters all along, the Avengers, the Guardians, and so on would not be household names. I’m glad that the X-Men are finally getting their light to shine under their home studio. But I’ll never forget the work that Marvel had to do from the ground up to achieve the cinematic anomaly that is the MCU.
