Starting a 7 day camping trip tomorrow morning
Hey all, super excited! I leave for my big spring camping trip tomorrow morning! I'll head out from Bothell, Wa to Ocean City State Park, then I will visit Fort Stevens in Oregon and check out the bones of the Peter Iredale ship wreck. The next day I will be driving through Tillamook on my way to Sandbeach Camp Ground and off road recreation area. From there I head to the south jetty of Newport, OR to camp at South Beach. Then I will visit the Oregon Dunes and the Umpqua Lighthouse. Then thursday I will be the furthest south for this trip in Humbug Mountain just south of Port Orford. Friday afternoon I will have one last stop as I start to head back up the coast to Bullard's Beach near Bandon and then home next Saturday. The forecast is improving, what looked like an entire week of heavy rain has changed to a 40% chance of rain on Wednesday and mostly under a cloudy sky. I will be traveling in my 21 Tacoma and sleeping in a Core 6 person cabin tent, I am also bringing my Rapier bed tent to set up in the bed of the truck just in case it does start raining heavily I will be off the ground.
