We are heading on a group camping trip Labor day weekend and I have a procedure the day before... it's a minimally invasive procedure, but I still won't be up for doing hard stuff like dealing with stupid tent poles. So I am shopping for an instant tent but I'm torn between the TIMBER RIDGE 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent and the CORE 9 Person Instant Cabin Tent. The TIMBER RIDGE has a rain fly with a little awning/covered entry area. The CORE tent does not have any kind of vestibule with its rainfly... The CORE has more reviews from people who have actually used it, the TIMBER RIDGE only has reviews from people who got a free tent to set up and review.
Purely based of the fact that people have written real reviews of using the CORE tent, I lean towards that one. BUT we do love a vestibule and I feel like I will miss not having a little covered area at the entry!
