1. What do you personally believe happens after we die?
I think I’m somewhere in the middle. I don’t feel 100% certain about one idea, but I lean toward believing that something continues—maybe not exactly like life here, but some form of existence or peace. I like the idea of a place where people are free from pain and maybe reunited with loved ones, even if I don’t fully understand how that would work.
2. How did you arrive at this belief?
My thoughts are a mix of what I’ve learned from family, culture, and my own thinking. Growing up, I heard about heaven and accountability, which stayed with me. But as I got older, I started questioning and reflecting more, so now my beliefs feel more personal and less fixed than before.
3. How does your belief (or lack of belief) about the afterlife make you feel?
It mostly brings me a bit of comfort, especially the idea that death might not be the complete end. At the same time, the uncertainty can feel a little scary. Overall, I’d say I feel more calm than afraid, because I accept that not knowing is part of being human.
4. How does your belief about the afterlife affect the way you live your life now?
It makes me try to be a better person—not just because of possible judgment, but because it feels meaningful. It also reminds me that life is valuable and temporary, so I should appreciate moments, relationships, and experiences more.
5. If you had to comfort a friend who’s scared of death or the afterlife, what would you say?
I’d tell them that it’s okay to feel scared—almost everyone does at some point. I’d remind them that no one truly knows for sure, but many beliefs point toward peace rather than fear. I’d also say that what matters most is the life they’re living right now—the love they give and receive—and that they’re not alone in feeling this way.
