The Incredible Hulk was this close to being an absolute banger
Edward Norton as Banner was perfect. The movie already had a solid, grounded vibe that stood out from the rest of the early MCU. If Marvel and Norton had just worked things out, we could've gotten a proper Hulk saga with real continuity and emotional weight. Hell, it might've even outshined the early Iron Man films.
Instead we got the recast and years of Marvel not knowing what to do with the character. Huge loss. I put a little blame on Norton for not fully seeing the potential at the time.
