Mini split/room window ac control
Hi all. Please handle me with kid gloves here as I’m quite new to home automation and all that. I’m more than handy enough for most things but this is all new to me and thought reaching out would give me a clearer picture than the 736,000 web searches I’ve done already.
I have a budget mini split (Turbro 24k Greenland) and some ‘smart’ window AC units (Frigidaire). I’d like to be able to use some sensors to automate when the MS & ACs turn on and to what mode/settings/etc. when specific criteria are met. I’d also like to keep the system local as I’d like to avoid passing all my data/info through Chinese servers.
My mini split is able to directly connect with the Smart Life and AIR.ai apps. The Frigidaire window units connect to, likely obviously, the native Frigidaire app.
I don’t have a huge budget but would like this to be as efficient and ‘safe’ as possible, with room to expand to other automations in the future. Any help would be appreciated.
