#yogafrom0 — Week 14:
Seventh Chakra (Sahasrara)🪷
We have reached the highest chakra, the seventh: Sahasrara, also known as the Crown Chakra.
Today we enter the most subtle and meditative dimension of yoga: the one connecting us with our inner nature and the universe.

🪷 Find a comfortable seated position on your cushion with crossed legs, keeping your spine long, open (If you're sitting on a chair, what matters most is keeping your spine tall, your feet grounded, and your shoulders relaxed).

🪷 Gently close your eyes, roll your shoulders back and down, letting your arms and hands relax. Bring your attention to the crown of your head.

🪷 Inhale and exhale exclusively through your nose. Listen to the sound of the air passing through your throat, like the gentle whisper of ocean waves. Stay present with this inner sound, undisturbed by thoughts or external noises.

🪷 Bring your hands in front of your chest. Touch your thumbs and pinky fingers together, opening the rest of your fingers outward like a blooming flower: this is the Lotus Mudra

🪷 Slowly lift your hands above your head. Imagine placing a crown upon your head, like a thousand-petaled lotus opening toward the sky.

🪷 Keep your shoulders relaxed and low. Inhale and exhale with a steady rhythm, feeling connected to the universe.

🪷 Take one last deep breath here... reach your arms up and as you exhale, gently open them outward, bringing them back down to the ground. Softly open your eyes.

🪷 We close our practice by bringing our hands together in front of the heart. Deep breath in... and Namaste! 🙏🏼

Excellent 👌
Did you know that we used to sit that way, daily?

Most of the families don't use chairs or tables , even when we have them.
Families eat on ground, sip tea and have meetings sitting on ground too.

No, I didn't know, Rami! It seems that what we practice in yoga has been part of your daily life and culture for generations...
Sitting on the ground feels so grounding and connected... perhaps that's why it feels like the perfect position for meditation and opening the chakras. 🪷🧘
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful tradition, Rami! 🙏☕🤩

my pleasure, and thank you for accepting it, sincerely.
there's a little detail about "grounding".
it's about the energy and the aura.
sitting directly on floor, sand, rock ... direct contact with earth , make a connection between the magnetic field of the body ( known as aura) and the earth.
so it regultae it, absorbe excessive letricity from the body and make a kind of balance....

Sahasrara feels like a gentle invitation to quiet the mind, connect with our inner self, and feel a deeper sense of peace and unity with the universe. 💜🙏Awesome activity, my dear Dana! 👏

So beautiful, my dear Sylvie! That feeling of quiet unity is exactly what Sahasrara is all about. 🪷
