Mt Elbert Summit

Planning to summit Mount Elbert in Colorado mid May for my 26th birthday. Loose plan is to disperse camp on Half Moon Creek Road the night before and get started with the hike around 5-6am on the North TH. Any tips on route or recommendations on gear are much appreciated!
