JgH.Good evening guys👋 I am planning to write an article or draft about financial freedom and emergency fund that I could share to my network affiliate in our monthly game plan/meeting and updates but I saw this activity, so here I am doing this activity instead😂🫶🌻
Life really has a way of throwing us curveballs, doesn't it? Whether it's a global crisis or a personal setback, having a financial "anchor" gives our family peace of mind. Here is how we are staying steady and planning for the future.
1. Our Safety Net If something happened tomorrow, our family could last for about six months. We feel secure, but we also know that life involves others. If close relatives or friends needed urgent help, that fund would likely drop to three months. This is a lesson we learned the hard way. Years ago, before the pandemic, a relative got very sick. Our entire emergency fund vanished in just a few days. That experience changed everything for us; it made us work much harder to rebuild a stronger net to protect our family.
2. The Inflation Reality Check Lately, petrol prices have been the biggest shock. It’s a cost we feel every time we drive. How we manage: My husband’s office gives a gas allowance, which is a huge help. However, prices are so high now that the allowance often runs out early. When it does, we pay the rest ourselves. The lesson: We’ve learned that relying on just one source of help is risky. Even a good office perk can’t always keep up with rising prices.
3. Our Plan for Next Month To keep our anchor strong, we are adding a new way to earn money. Our Goal: In the next 30 days, our family will start a small business selling rice and grains. This is a SMART plan because it is specific, we can measure our progress by our first sales, and it's achievable since everyone needs rice every day. It’s the right move to help our budget stay ahead of inflation.
At the end of the day, while we plan and work hard, our true strength comes from our faith. We believe that if we have God, we have everything. Like Proverbs 3:5 says, we trust in the Lord with all our hearts instead of just relying on what we see. With faith and a good plan, we’re ready for whatever comes next. #FinancialAnchor
