I think vintage Seiko quartz is its own thing entirely in the watch world. High-end finishing, extremely high accuracy, virtually no movement worries or service costs, at a fraction of what it would take to get a mechanical watch of this caliber, vintage or modern. Anyone wanting to get into vintage watches or wanting to see truly exceptional case finishing on a budget should look at Lord, King, and Grand Quartz lines, and other 70s-80s quartz models like Type II.
Also, these aren’t your typical modern quartz movements. There’s hardly any plastic in these and they are fully serviceable (although nowadays you’d likely have to find someone specializing in them).
These are increasing in price as people catch on. #luxury
