Did any of you non Mortal Kombat fans enjoy Mortal Kombat II ?
Hello. I've been playing Mortal Kombat for years competitively and casually so I'm very aware of every character and reference in that movie. All of that on the big screen was great to watch because of it. However, I was always thinking during my watch that if I wasn't a Mortal Kombat fan I would *hate* this movie. I felt like the vast majority of the context was filled in from knowing the lore and games, and it felt like nothing happened if I wasn't able to fill in all of the missing context and references.
Overall it's extremely campy, moves extremely fast, and in my opinion, there's nearly zero room for connecting with characters unless you already knew them and their backstory. But I really enjoyed it!
Did you hate / love it for any of these reasons and why?
