I usually only camp in the summer in the PNW, but I am always very cold at night! My sleeping bag is rated: limit 21F comfort 31F (REI. Sleeping bag 20) and it's usually 45 degrees at night where I camp. In addition I started using a sleeping cot to help with being cold by elevating off the ground but I was still cold! I also use the nemo switchback sleeping pad. I am quite short and feel like there's a lot of room around my feet that could be contributing to being cold as well. I wear 2 layers of bottoms (base layer that i have for skiing and a fleece bottom, and for top a base layer, a fleece jacket and a down jacket) I want to start camping in the fall as well but am worried about being even colder! Any advices on how to stay really warm? #activity #camping source
