Where should I start when it comes to legends books?

I love reading and Star Wars but for some reason never read any legends books. I want to read the real sequel trilogy, Luke’s new Jedi order. Where would I start and where would I go after? I’m also really interested in the Jedi Sith wars during the old republic when the Sith took over.

Any help would be awesome.
