Outgrew our 2P backpacking tent thanks to a chaotic 60lb dog. Go premium or go budget for car camping?

Been rocking an REI Passage 2 for solo backpacking for like 4 years, but yeah, we’ve officially outgrown it. My partner started coming along, plus we just adopted a 60lb dog who somehow takes up more space than both of us combined. Squeezing all three of us into a tiny 2P tent is lowkey a nightmare at this point.

We’re shifting to casual car camping this season, so weight isn’t really a thing anymore. I just want some actual headroom to, like, stand up, change clothes, and not feel completely suffocated.

I’ve been looking into 4P options. The REI Skyward 4 and Marmot Limestone 4P both look super nice, but they’re pretty pricey for something we’re only gonna use maybe 5-6 times a year. I know everyone’s gonna mention Coleman for casual setups, but a friend of mine actually picked up a tent from this brand called Garvee because it was super cheap. It seemed decent enough when they pitched it, but honestly, I have no idea how it actually holds up long-term.

Anyways, what’s the play here? Curious what you guys actually ended up sticking with after a few seasons. Thanks!
