Every year in August 9th our country marks Women’s Month. We also pay tribute to the courageous women who in 1956 marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to protest against “the pass laws” which controlled the movement of Black South Africans.
It’s a day to reflect on their legacy and to continue advocating for the rights and empowerment of all women.
In honor of Women’s Day let us celebrate the strength, resilience and achievement of women across the world. May we continue to uplift and empower one another striving for a future when equality and respect for all women are at the forefront of our society.

There is still too much misogyny and oppression of women around the world.

True and it's so sad🥲some choose to stay in the vicious cycle of abuse due to various complex reasons ie emotional, financial etc and on the other hand others want to leave but because of lack of support structure ie family, friends, safe housing etc
