Looking for a way automating integrated window blinds with a rotary knob.
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a cost-effective way to automate the **tilt/angle** of venetian blinds that are integrated *between two glass panes*.
**Current setup:**
* Blinds are built into the window (no external tilt rod). * The angle is adjusted by turning a **knob** mounted on the glass. * About **one full turn of the knob goes from fully closed → fully open → fully closed**, with the open position roughly at the midpoint of the rotation.
I know products like the **Soma Tilt 2** could probably work with a custom made adapter or 3D-printed coupler on the knob, but they’re quite expensive and seem to be almost always out of stock.
I’m looking for alternative retrofit solutions — ideally reasonably priced and suitable for smart home integration (Apple Home / Matter / etc.). Has anyone automated this type of between-the-glass blind before?
