Roast my basement shelves
Wanted to come up with a cheap and practical storage solution for my unfinished basement. what’re your thoughts on my work: https://imgur.com/a/ybYMGo0
I didn’t want to mess with the insulation or drill into the cement. will add a front header when I get another 2 by 4.
biggest concern I guess I have is that this is not pressure treated wood touching the concrete. i get that moisture would seep over time, but is it a risk that it would make it all the way to the actual house joist that I have the headers attached to? is that even realistic?
i know this isn’t perfect, I have minimal skill/experience, but welcome any feedback. planning on repeating the work in the rest of the space. my biggest goal would be to avoid any damage to my actual house, so happy to make any adjustments.
