1️⃣. When someone wrongs you deeply (like betrayal, lying, or cheating), do you feel drawn to FORGIVE or FORGET? What's your gut reaction? 👉👉 My gut reaction is to FORGIVE. I believe carrying anger for a long time only makes the wound heavier. Forgiveness does not mean what happened was okay, but it allows me to free my heart from bitterness and continue moving forward with peace.
2️⃣. Think of a time someone hurt you. Did you end up forgiving them OR forgetting it? What happened? Did it heal you? 👉👉A friend once broke a promise that was very important to me. I felt disappointed and hurt for quite some time. Eventually, I chose to forgive them after understanding that people make mistakes. I never completely forgot what happened, but forgiving helped me heal and let go of the negative feelings.
3️⃣. What's ONE thing you believe you SHOULD forgive but actually can't forget? Explain. 👉👉I should forgive being betrayed by someone I trusted deeply. Even though I have moved on and no longer hold anger, the experience taught me an important lesson about trust. The memory remains because it changed how I see relationships.
4️⃣. What's ONE thing you SHOULD forget but can't forgive? Explain. 👉👉Being judged unfairly by someone close to me is something I should forget because it happened long ago. However, it is difficult to forgive because the words left a lasting impact. I continue working on letting go so that it no longer affects my peace.
