Three days out camping with electric bike at Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. Low temperatures hit fast, sleeping bags and few other necessary gears were all i brought.
I’ve been meaning to post this for a while but kept putting it off, mostly because the weather turned fast and winter hit hard right after this trip.
A few weeks before things got properly intense, I did a 3-day camping run out at Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario. I wanted one last trip before full winter mode kicked in.
Weather wasn't the best, it was crisp. daytime temps were around 6–9°C, and at night it dropped to about -3°C. Not ideal, but manageable with the right setup. Mornings were frosty, but the lake views made it worth it.
What made this trip different was that I brought my eBike instead of relying on my car once I was parked. My campsite wasn’t far from trails or water access, so being able to ride back and forth felt great. Way less hassle, and honestly more fun for me.
Parked all essentials i needed like my 2-person four season tent, my compact sleeping bag (rated to -5°C), small camp stove + fuel canister, folding knife and small fixed blade, extra thermal layers clothes and gloves, Headlamp + backup flashlight, Power bank, Lightweight tarp and every other little thing i could fit on my eBike.
It was worth it for me. But i wanted to ask if camping with an electric bike makes sense in it's original word? And for those who have tried, how was it? #camping #activity source
