Ideas to keep pests away from getting into an "orange" tent vestibule?
Many years ago, I bought a rather nice tent that was on sale, and it has been great except for one thing. It attracts insects. It's not a bright orange, but not a dull orange either. Bugs like it. It has a long vestibule attachment that's great for storing gear and general sitting in when needing some shade without going inside the tent. But if the weather is even a little bit warm, it attracts insects like no other. Flies, wasps, the whole caboodle. And they tend to find their way inside even with a relatively low foot lining, so the inside of the vestibule will just have a swarm of them.
I'm gong to be going camping in northern Cali by the coast within the next week, and I've been thinking about what I could do about this. I mainly go out in that direction with family/siblings to escape the heat. Went two years ago, and it was an abnormally warm time from years past, and I got caught with plenty of bugs.
Any ideas? Initially thought about getting those hanging traps I could hook underneath, but that may not be the best thing if they just keep coming. #activity #camping
