I want to cap off the top of my newly built fence made of PT 2x4's and vertical galvantized corrugated panels. I think I want to use a 4" wide board to cover everything, but not sure if I should set top edges at an angle for rain/snow runoff and maybe cut a small drip channel underneath both sides.
If I cut the boards to have a small angle for runoff, what should I set it to? And is a drip channel overkill or necessary? The reason I ask, is the old fence top cap was flat and they are terribly cracked ( plus they are really old, like decades.) and pulling away from the fence top. #diy source
