One hidden cost of motherhood is the loss of a woman’s identity outside of being “Mom.” Many mothers slowly stop prioritizing their own hobbies, friendships, education, or personal goals because every part of their energy is poured into caring for others. People praise the sacrifice, but rarely notice how much of “herself” disappears quietly in the process.
