My uncle gave me his old welder - a solar 2150 wire feed to mig weld with. I'm just getting into welding and was wondering is there any risk of using it at my house with its age? It has an adapter to fit a normal outlet. I'm not worried about welding itself it's just the machine I'm worried about. I'm a beginner at welding and don't know much about the machines themselves, I was thinking of taking it down to get tested at a shop or bringing my uncle down to test it at home, whats your thoughts?
