Welding support tabs for an aluminium pivot door hinge
Hey guys,
Looking for some advice.
We’ve been tasked with building a pivot front entry door for a customer. The bottom strap of the floor spring pivot is to be flush with the bottom rail. The bottom rail we are using is 65x65x3mm RHS. The pivot we will be a fritsjurgens pivot installed. I came across this picture online showing recessed tabs into the bottom rail. Wanted to get advice on how this is done? Have they cut the top of the SHS and welded these tabs and closed it off or slot welded from the outside? Sorry for the noob questions but it’s been doing my head in.
